Wine Australia will be leading the Australian wine sector to visit the United States of America (USA) in September 2019 for the inaugural Aussie Wine Month. 

The campaign will bring a large contingent of Australian wineries across the globe for the largest Australian wine promotion ever held in the USA. 

Far from Ordinary, will feature a six-city trade roadshow, educational seminars, the Australian Women in Wine Awards, media events, importer/distributor networking opportunities, in-store and online retail promotions and a multi-sensory immersive consumer activation in New York. 

The six cities to be visited include New York, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Lake Tahoe.

Media investment and amplification across digital and social platforms will commence leading up to Far from Ordinary: Aussie Wine Month to increase awareness and excitement for the program of activities. 

Events include the following:

  • Far from Ordinary – Consumer activation (17-19 September)
  • US Roadshow (19 September-3 October)
  • Australian Women in Wine Awards (17 September)
  • New to Market Showcase (18 September)
  • Australia Decanted (6-10 October)

Who should attend?

Australian wineries exporting to the US or interested in exporting to the USA.

Delegates airfares, accommodation, meals outside of official activities, or registration fees.


Attendees registered via an expression of interest to participate in the six- city trade roadshow and the New to Market Showcase. 

Participation in the Australian Women in Wine Awards is via nomination.
