Focusing on the skills and creative sector opportunities in the United Kingdom and Germany. The mission will seek to strengthen partnerships and opportunities that will benefit South Australian businesses, training providers and career seekers, with a focus on apprenticeships and traineeships.
This will include:
- identifying contemporary VET approaches, including cultural and community insights and institutional leadership to support workforce development and economic growth
- strengthening industry participation in the development, delivery and funding of education and training and translating industry intelligence into policy making
- engaging with digital and multimedia industry practices and partnerships to support SA’s global competitiveness
- increasing the value of apprenticeships in business growth – particularly higher apprenticeships needed for a rapidly evolving skill need and industrial landscape.
The delegation will engage with Ministry and Government portfolio representatives, industry and skills councils, businesses, training providers and social innovation leaders that support employment outcomes and economic growth.
Who should attend?
The Hon David Pisoni MP Minister for Innovation and Skills will lead the delegation for the Department for Innovation and Skills.
Delegates with significant VET experience from training providers registered with ASQA and hold an Accredited Training Service Agreement with the Department for Innovation and Skills may connect with this mission.
VET sector or industry representatives with a depth of experience, knowledge and practice, including partners to existing MOUs and/or can demonstrate scope for new cross-jurisdictional partnerships may also express interest in this mission.
A program that focuses on skills, labour market development and growth, apprenticeship pathways and contemporary VET approaches that enable and strengthen participation and outcomes have been identified.
What's not included?
Participation with this delegation will be self-funded. The Department for Innovation and Skills will not pay for delegates airfares, accommodation or sundry expenses.
This small delegation will include participants from the VET sector.
It is not appropriate for the South Australian Government to take Expressions of Interest outside of the conditions identified.
