Date: 5 - 8 March 2019

Exhibition: Foodex
Overview: Foodex Japan is the largest annual food and beverage tradeshow in Asia. Over 4 days, approximately 85,000 buyers from food service, distribution and trading companies are expected to attend.
Who should participate? Registrations through Food SA and AUSVEG SA are full.

Date: 1 - 5 April 2019
Sectors of focus: Advanced manufacturing
Exhibition: Hannover Messe
Overview: Hannover Messe is the largest industrial fair in the world focusing on driving digital transformation of manufacturing and associated industries. With the lead theme "Integrated Industry - Industrial Intelligence”, the fair brings together Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence. This theme underlines the growing importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the production and energy industries, including such areas as energy efficiency and use,  autonomous production processes as well as challenges in production interfaces, protocols and security. 

The Department for Trade, Tourism and Investment is hosting an exhibition space where South Australia’s most innovative advanced manufacturers are invited to promote their products and technologies to over 220,000 visitors to the fair. 

Opportunity to participate in seminars over the 5 days of the fair and an additional Industry 4.0 boot camp in collaboration with Austrade will be made available prior to Hannover Messe.
Who should participate? Participation is subject to availability and the below criteria;

Companies must be active in one of the following: 

  • Advanced manufacturing and with a strong interest in Industry 4.0 technologies & machine learning
  • Process automation especially when focusing on Digital Threads & Digital Twins
  • Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality applications
  • Predictive Maintenance
  • Innovative and/or new production technologies
  • Manufacturing or production outsourcing solutions

Inbound

Target markets: China, North East Asia, South East Asia
Dates: 6 - 10 April 2019
Sectors of focus: Food and beverage
Partners: Food SA
Exhibition: Coinciding with Tasting Australia
Overview: The Department for Trade Tourism and Investment and Food SA, are seeking to invite up to 20 food industry partners to visit South Australia from 6 to 10 April 2019 on an immersive experience designed to profile South Australia’s premium food and beverage products to drive exports to key Asian markets. The mission will coincide and intersect with Australia’s premier food and wine festival ‘Tasting Australia’ (5-14 April 2019) that will showcase our state’s bests across chefs, winemakers, producers, restaurateurs.

Target market: The United States of America (USA)
Dates: 9 - 14 April 2019* subject to change
Sector of focus: Premium wine
Overview: The South Australian Department for Trade Tourism and Investment, are seeking to invite up to 15 wine industry partners from the United States to visit South Australia in April 2019 on an immersive experience designed to profile South Australia’s premium wines and regions. The aim of the visit is to establish new and reinforce existing relationships with partners in the US and work with them to build up trade promotional activities and increase premium wine exports to the United States.
